“TIRION’S SECRET JOURNAL”
Imagine Tirion’s feelings, ten years old, and about to begin work at the
big house, Llancaiach Fawr. For spirited
Tirion it is her first time away from home, but at least it is a chance to get
away from Master Eyes and Ears, her harsh and unsympathetic stepfather. Taught to read and write by her real father,
Tirion keeps an ‘official’ diary for the eyes of the grown-ups in her life, but
confides her real thoughts and feelings to her secret journal. Follow the ups and downs of servant life ~
including the thrills and spills of a royal visit ~ in ‘Tirion’s Secret
Journal’.
To find
out what Tirion’s new job is ~ you’ll have to read the book! “Tirion’s
Secret Journal”
~ and in the same series as
the above

“TROUBLESOME THOMAS”
Thomas is the young son of
Bussy Mansell of Breton Ferry, a Royalist like his brother-in-law, and Thomas’s
uncle, Colonel Prichard of Llancaiach Fawr.
Thomas doesn’t intend to be badly behaved, but even when he means well
disasters happen, and as a result of a particularly unfortunate happening, he
is sent, as punishment, to stay with his uncle and aunt and two girl cousins at
Llancaiach, together with Master Wartnose, his horrid tutor.
Llancaiach is home to many
servants, there to take care of the Prichard family and their estates, and Thomas
soon feels at home there, making friends with Ifor (spit-boy in ‘Tirion’s
Secret Journal’) and with Tirion too.
Colonel Prichard is determined to punish Thomas for his bad behaviour ~
but his punishments are sometimes surprising…
